GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner

LANguard allows you to not only scan your network, but do it from a Hackers perspective. It will identify all machines on your network, their Netbios info, open ports, shares and much more. LANguard Network Scanner can also display installed hotfixes and scan for known security issues - providing you with a web link to more information if any are found. It includes a large database of common vulnerabilities, including CGI, FTP, registry exploits and more. You can even customize the database, add custom criteria and specify alert flags based on your preference. With the information from LANguard security scanner, you can proactively starting securing your network - shutting down unnecessary ports, shares etc. The program also produces very nice HTML reports if needed. If you are interested in network security, you cannot afford not to use this tool! Even for non-professionals, it will provide great in depth information about your local LAN. (Some functions only available for NT/Win2k). Free version has some advanced features disabled (scheduled scans, report generator, result comparison deployment) but is well suited for most users.

Angry IP Scanner 2.0

This is a very fast and small IP scanner. It has many options, such as the ability to resolve host names, check for open ports, scan dead machines, and more. The previous update fixed a memory leak and added CSV file format support and command-line options to automate tasks.
Angry IP Scanner 2.0 scanning engine was completely rewritten, so it is more powerful now. It contains many enchancements, such as configurable scanning columns (NetBIOS info can now appear in the list), multiple port scanning, and more. It is also now more stable and runs on very old Windows versions.

CookieWall 1.01

Online privacy is a big deal these days, with huge companies being formed every month to both protect and exploit information gathered about you. By far the most common method used to track individuals on the Internet is the 'Cookie', a small file stored on your machine with information provided by a website... While the majority of the websites out there use this tool as it was intended, more and more are exploiting it in ways that were never intended - that's where AnalogX CookieWall comes in.
AnalogX CookieWall allows you to quickly and easily decide which cookies can stay on your system, and which cookies should go - once you let CookieWall know which ones are unwelcome, it does the rest. CookieWall can be configured to delete cookies as soon as they arrive, to notify you of any new ones, or just que them up for you to check out at a later date.
CookieWall is currently only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer or derived versions (such as NeoPlanet); Netscape support should be available in the near future.

DHCP Fix

Windows is a very 'open' system; not open in the sense of Microsoft giving people access to proprietary information, but open in the sense that the system is very trusting of other systems. When your computer is at home, not talking to anyone else, then that's fine; but once you're on the big bad internet, some people like to make their computers lie to yours, and that's just not right...
AnalogX DHCP Fix is just a simple program that closes a security hole in Windows 95/98/2000 that can make it possible for another computer to monitor every piece of information that comes and goes from it. The program will allow you to enable or disable the registry entry that closes this particular hole.
It's very easy to do and will only take you a couple seconds to once more bring a calming sense of security to your computer... Until the next hole is found :). The security hole was originally detailed by L0pht Heavy Industries, but I heard about it from The Screen Savers on ZDTV, so if you'd like more information about this problem, check out these sites.

FastCache 1.01

As long as there's an Internet, everyone is going to want to do things faster. Browse the web, ping servers, download files, whatever. Every time you go to a new website, or a website you haven't been to in a day or so, your computer needs to locate the server again using DNS. Each DNS request can take anywhere from 50 milliseconds, to even a second or more, but most are in the 100 to 200 millisecond range. Want to save a couple hundred milliseconds? Probably not, but what about a couple million or more? That's what AnalogX FastCache is all about.

AnalogX FastCache is a caching DNS server that runs on your local machine and handles any DNS request that your computer makes, from Internet Explorer to your favorite FTP client. Once a query is made, FastCache will override the normal timeout for the item with one that you specify, so instead of saving a query for a couple of seconds, it can save it for a couple of days. Now every time you ask for it again while it's in the cache, it gives it to you instantly. You can read more about DNS, and how to configure your machine to run FastCache in this article at WebAttack.
